Why, God, Why?

Our hearts are broken when we see atrocities inflicted on innocent people. Wars force thousands of refugees - old men, children and families - out of their homes. Teenagers coldly murder their classmates. Toddlers disappear, never to be seen again.
In the midst of this world's carnage, it is only natural to wonder, Where is God in all this? Why doesn't He do something? Why does He allow this to happen?
As difficult as it is to understand, God has already done something. He sent His son to save us. But Jesus Christ did not enter this world to thwart criminals or overthrow governments; He came to change our hearts.
Even the people of Jesus' day thought their Savior came to liberate them from oppression. But He did not. He told them, "My kingdom is not of this world" (John 18:36).
This world - with its godless wars, murders and inhumanity - exists under the dominion of Satan. Though the Bible states the absolute authority of God, Satan has been given much power, and the evil in this world is under his control.
That's why the apostle Paul assserted, "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." (Ephesians 6:12)
Satan was the first one in history to openly defy God. He also started a philosophy of life that was self centered and rejected God's authority. That was the birth of sin.
Sin assumes a self defined life plan rather than one purposed by the Creator. Today sin affects the entire human race. We are all guilty of it, and therefore all deserve sin's penalty.
"For the wages of sin is death." (Romans 6:23)
According to the Bible, peace on earth will not come until after God's judgement and Christ's second coming. But peace with God is available now for all who faithfully accept Jesus' death as payment for their sin.
"Since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." (Romans 5:1)
God permitted evil to be present in this world. He gave all of us, including Satan, free will. He allows us to choose whether or not we follow Him. If God forced us to love and worship Him, would that truly be love????? He lets us make up our own minds.......
Satan and death were defeated when Jesus Christ rose again after dying on the cross. Satan has no reprieve. But, you still have a chance !
You can come to know "the peace of God, which transcends all understanding," by acknowledging the sin in your life and believing that Christ's death on the cross paid sin's penalty for you and that His resurrection offers you new life.
We will never know all the answers to the question, Why God? But, when you open your life to Jesus Christ, He promises to walk with you through this world's troubles. You will begin to see the world through His eyes. He will begin new feelings insisde of you that you may not have felt for a long time, if ever..........like joy, peace, love and hope.......
Jesus said, "I have told you these things , so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world !" (John 16:33)

Suffering Defined

What are these bends in the road that God puts in the path of life that we are to carefully consider? Simply stated, suffering is anything which hurts or irritates. In the design of God, it is also something to make us think. It is a tool God uses to get our attention and to accomplish His purposes in our lives in a way that would never occur without the trial or irritation. Illustrations of Suffering "It may be cancer or a sore throat. It may be the illness or loss of someone close to you. It may be a personal failure or disappointment in your job or school work. It may be a rumor that is circulating in your office or your church, damaging your reputation, bringing you grief and anxiety."1 It can be anything that ranges from something as small and irritating as the bite of a mosquito to facing a lion in the lions' den as did Daniel (Dan. 6).

General Causes of Suffering

(1) We suffer because we live in a fallen world where sin reigns in the hearts of men.
(2) We suffer because of our own foolishness. We reap what we sow (Gal. 6:7-9).
(3) We sometimes suffer because it is God's discipline. "For those whom the Lord loves he disciplines, and he scourges every son He receives" (Heb. 12:6).
(4) We may suffer persecution because of our faith-especially when we take a stand on biblical issues, i.e., suffering for righteousness sake (2 Tim. 3:12). Of course, all of these do not apply at the same time. All suffering is not, for instance, a product of our own foolishness, self-induced misery, or sin. It is true, however, that rarely does suffering not reveal areas of need, areas of weakness, and wrong attitudes that need to be removed like dross in the gold-refining process (cf. 1 Pet. 1:6-7). In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ; (1 Peter 1:6-7)

Prom Night 2008..

Joy invited me to watch a christian musical organized by 14 churches, titled The Promise. It was about the story of the birth of Jesus till the ressurection. The production was good :) They actually brought in real horses and John the baptist badtized Jesus in a real pool of water!

May God guide us to follow his footsteps..
Lord, may you lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Jen's story

The crystal blue waters rose and subsided gently by the shore. Jen noticed a brown figure from afar. "Zac !! What's with your new shade of skin?" her voice echoed with the waves.

Immediately, she leaped into Zac's welcoming arms and he gave her a warm cuddle followed by a soft peck on her forehead.

The boat from frontland had just docked the jetty.

"When are you going back again?" Jen's voice shivered as stubborn tears began to seep out of her eyes.

Zac's face tensed up. "Now stop crying will you?.. I'm sorry Darling, it's just that.. you know, I have got lots of assignments waiting for me to clear. I can't be with you all the while, I'm really sorry"

Jen's eyes shifted away from Zac's. She threw herself out of Zac's arms and raced for the sea. Determined to fight the current, she maneuvered her way deeper and deeper into the region. Soon, her entire body was submerged into the water. Her neck was dangerously at sea level.

Zac smelt something wrong. Something negative he supposed. With lightning speed, he dashed towards Jen's direction and tumbled just as he was about to reach the coast.

"Jen!!! Please don't do anything stupid !!! I beggg youuu.." Zac desperately got to his feet.

Jen slowed down for a moment, paused and then turned around. Her solem face turned reddish pink like the after effects of a fresh sun-burn. She began to laugh at Zac and teased him for being such an unexpectedly, dramatic boy.

Zac chuckled and went forward to reach for Jen. He held her hand tight as if he was not going to let go. They started played splishy-splashy (@_@) and had fun together in the water

"What will you do if you were a mermaid?" Zac curiously asked

"Hmmm.. That's a tough one. Well..maybe ill ride on a dolphin everyday?"

Without hesistation, Zac immediately offered to ride Jen on his back. He did his best to be like a dolphin, he even imitated sounds of the dolphin just to hear Jen giggle and also partly, to be smacked on the head. Though he admitted he couldn't do it as well as a real dolphin, Zac did everything he could to see Jen smile and also to make her happy. It was a wonderful scene. They were having a marvelous, romantic time. The sun sets, the waves died down and the couples made their way back to the shore. Both drenched and exhausted.

The evening breeze sent Jen's hair flagging against the direction of her face. The piercing cold made Jen fold her arms tightly around her shoulders. Zac, initially tagging behind, stood opposite her to block the wind. He wrapped his arms around her and held her securely onto his chest. His heart-beat sang a lullaby. Soon, Jen was sweetly sleeping in Zac's arms.

This is Jen's story. She was happy to have met Zac. She embraced the moments she spent with him as well as cherished every second she had with him. Zac did his part as well, he helped her to look at the brighter side of life and ended her story with a Happily Ever After

Actually, The truth was..

She was putting on a mask for Zac. The blissful happy moments were just Jen's imaginations..

Infact, she already knew about Zac's external affair and his viscious plan to get rid of her. Despite all that, she decided to cling onto Zac till the very end.

She was wakened to reality..
The oil spills once hidden, began to surface. The water turned chalky. The wind dissappeared. The trees stopped swaying to the rhythm of the breeze. There was no breeze! The waves were no longer transverse. Silence filled the shore. There was no room for echoes. Everything was stagnant and un-activated.

When the boat left, Zac approached the shore in a steady pace. Before Jen could greet him, Zac from behind, plunged a 20cm dagger into her stomach. Due to the unbearable pain, she squeezed her arms, scrunched and knelt to the ground. Upon seeing someone from his direction, Zac swiftly swerved to face Jen. In less than a second, he drove the blood-stained dagger deeper into her intestines while pretending to hug her intimately. His heart was at his throat, beating like the booming of techno while Jen dropped dead onto his arms. Mission accomplished.

Rinnnnggg..., Teachnology has gotten into the way of our communication. Seriously.. Hiding behind monitors, plugged-in microphones, images through webcams, perfect outcomes due to perfect angle..
Sound so good that it drifted us from reality. We are becoming more professional with smsing, online chatting than communicating face to face with one another.

Such restrictions is probably due to the fear of communicating through the essential part of communication, body language.. time to see some light in it.. how difficult can it be and how un-comfortable can we get if we can just be ourselves at the point of communication?
We are longing to be ourselves yet we are always being too self-consious and are fearful of what others may think about us

At least hand-written letters are considered "Classy" nowadays :D

O yea, what jerks the line a little was when my "cute but not so cute (now i change my mind..", rephrase- my un-cute and mischievious BROTHERRRR got "Misssing" for the THIRD time because he headed home by himself when I was fetching him home from his alighting area.

To start with the madness, i wanted to walk a distance to purchase a newspaper for mummy, so confidently, my bro told me that the Indian Mama shop sells Wan bao!! And the horrible thing was i believed him and went there to ask the uncle: "Uncle,i want 1 wan bao.." !!!eeeeek. I mean, if it's : "Uncle, do u sell any wan bao here?" It would be better right? Actually...No. Not really.. ARGHHHH They are both equally dump!!!!!!!!!

Anyways, the shop uncle replied that he don't sell any wan bao while he laughed and giggled and hahaha and heeheee and hehehehehehe..how irritating.. -___-

To add on to my frustration... while i went to 'sell my face', instead of buying Wan bao, my bro went missing. Of course i wasn't mad at first, i was SUPER MAD!!!! as in mad = went crazy. I panicked like CraZzZzaYYyyEEee when i couldn't find him you know..... T___T come come pity me now... BoooHoooHoooooo...

After 5 min, i came to realize that he was standing across the road..
Is my bat-eyes, my Little Ms Sotong identity, the scratched-lenses on my glasses, the camouflaging surrounding, or just him to be blamed ?

ANYWAY, i kinda reprimanded him for not sticking by my side cause anything could've happened to him right right..?

I will forgive him since that poor thing is having a fever right now... Take care you little imp =P

As i open up my 2005 Hai Sing Catholic School student journal, I sighed in disbelieve as I reminisced about the year i jotted down my past entries.. @_@ and i repeat, disbelieve . O well, Everyone grows older, taller,[ops sry i shrunk..] bigger,[i got out of TAF], stronger,[not much for me] and more more mature,[i hope i did, well i guess i did]... weeeee. heng heng >_< i can't imagine having those cheeesy phrases appearing all over my student journal again next year.
Nevertheless, it is always a joy to see what i've written in it, which i've cleanly forgotten after 3 years.

Memoriesss~ with the many S's'. Some good (y), Some bad (n), Some happy =), Some sad =(
No matter how gd how bad how happy how sad they are,they are Experiences which we can all share and talk about. Imagine life without experiences, what will we become ? A person with a brand-new filtered mind after living each day?

Experiences are like my personal stories. Past present future, year after year, pages of a book is form, like a storybook with a head and a tail.. What's done in the past has been written, learn from the past and look ahead to meeting the present and the future

The many good things which i'll look back are the moments I shared with God, how God has Love me so much and that the great things he provided me with, the changes he made in my life and the day I accepted him, when he lifted my writing pen and ended my story with a Happily Ever After..

It had been fun today, i went on the filming briefing and to my surprise lyn was there lol. Was a little weird when we met. Haha, she couldnt recognize me in my new specs :P..gdgd, i have a spilt image now..
After the briefing, Siliva and I chatted for a mo while the rest went to play bb. It is always fun chatting with her ;D..kinda like girl tok session.
After around 2 hours of bench-ing, we went to eat. Yeas, i burnt my tongue while slurping the "U mian" into my mouth.

Through tons of experience, it's believable to say that say we only tend to treasure somthing when it's gone. Dad went online at 9pm today.. He seems to miss us all.
